While at the grocery store the other day, we came across this exotic looking fruit. The store sign described the bright orange, prickly fruit, as lemon and banana flavored. At an affordable price, Bret and I decided to give it a whirl.
Kiwano fruits are native to New Zealand, but are grown in California and Africa as well. After researching how to cut a kiwano (we seriously messed up cutting a mango a few months ago), we dug right in. Unfortunately, the taste was surprising and less than what I desired!
