Bret's 25th!

Today Bret is a quarter of a century old!  I love celebrating birthdays so even though I had to work all day, I woke Bret up to give him his gifts.  For lunch, I had originally planned on bringing the baby over to hang out and have cake, but she ended up going to lunch with her mom and family, so it was just Bret and me.  It was a nice break to the day.  I surprised him with a meat pie and banana cake, both NZ faves, and we relaxed for a bit.  I worked the rest of the afternoon, and then he met me at their home and we ordered Thai takeaway and indulged in brownies that I made in the afternoon with the baby's parents, Kim and Lance.  Kim treated Bret to NZ craft beers (all types he hadn't tried before), and lots of famous NZ cookies.  He was truly spoiled and it made for an awesome celebration despite the fact that we were so far away from home!
