Big NEWS! And I've been keeping this one secret for a while! My best friend Jody is coming to New Zealand...tomorrow!!!!!! I am in shock, as it's hitting me with each passing minute, that a person that I actually know is going to be visiting me! Another familiar face and another person to share this amazing experience with. Throughout our many long years as friends, Jody and I have been through a lot, and this trip will be no different!
I keep envisioning her arriving and us hanging out with Bret in Christchurch for the duration of her stay. But in actuality, we are taking an action packed KiwiExperience bus excursion through a majority of the rest of the south island that we haven't seen yet. A scenic train ride through the Southern Alps, a visit to New Zealand's glaciers and rain forests, and a final trip to Queenstown, the adventure capital of NZ (and perhaps the world). Did you know that the original bungy was invented there? If you watch the Bachelor (I am so sad I am missing it), you'll know that Jason and one of the bachelorettes bungy jumped off the bridge it was invented. And frankly, we've had that idea before it was ever on the Bachelor! Chalk it up to another life experience with my greatest friend!
So stay tuned...no technology (except the iPod and camera) accompanying us on this trip! More to follow!!!
